Tell Us About Yourself!

I’m Telle and I’m an island girl from Bermuda.

I am the owner and founder of A Journey To Telle and A Journey To Telle Experiences. I started travelling at a young age mainly to the east coast (you know, like shopping trips to NYC and Florida). But I didn’t catch the travel bug until 2014 when I went to Dubai, U.A.E as a graduation trip. This was the starting point for me yearning to tour the world. Since then, I’ve taught English in China, backpacked South East Asia, and left my mark in over 30 countries. I help ambitious islanders to challenge the status quo through travel while on a budget.

I currently offer local experiences in Bermuda for Bermudians to explore our beautiful island, support small businesses, all while on a budget. One of my future goals is to offer a scholarship to a graduating student that wants to immerse in another culture as a form of education.

I am a strong believer that travel is the ultimate teacher. When I am not thinking about travel or hosting experiences, I am supporting those who struggle with substance abuse. My ultimate professional goal is to work remotely while still being able to make a positive impact in others lives.

What Is Your Travel Style?

I’m a budget traveller. I believe it’s possible to have quality experiences while not having to break the bank. Also, I prefer to see more for less.

What Does Travel Mean To You?

Travel means to be FREE. Travel means to be able to go far and wide and return home a completely different person solely from the interactions you’ve had with others.. Travel means to be a forever student.

What Are Your Bucket-list Travel Plans Or Experiences?

My current travel goal is to have visited all 7 world wonders and continents by the end of 2022. I’m on track with having visited 5 world wonders (Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, Chichen Itza and Petra) and 5 continents (North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa). The journey continues.

Why Did You Join The Luxe On A Budget Travel Club?

It was definitely when it first launched. I had known Noreen months prior and was excited for her new venture and to be able to connect with like minded professionals. I am looking forward to my first trip with other The Luxe On A Budget members.

BONUS - Tell Us About The Weirdest Food You've Eaten Abroad!

This may not be as uncommon for some but for an island girl it definitely is. When I was in Brussels, I went to a local restaurant and ordered veal meatballs. Let’s just say I won’t be eating veal again.
